CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Taiwan Occupational Therapy Association will host an international conference, while Chang Gung University will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of its Department of Occupational Therapy from December 6th to 8th, 2024, at the Conference Hall in the Chang Gung Medical Research Building. We invite all researchers and clinical practitioners to submit abstracts related to occupational therapy, encompassing both academic research and clinical practice, that have not been previously published, for presentation during the conference.

 

Presentation Format

We welcome submissions related to occupational therapy and rehabilitation sciences, including research findings, case studies, unique practical experiences and professional innovations. The types of presentations are divided into oral presentations and poster displays. Please be sure to select your preferred format when submitting. However, the committee reserves the right to adjust your presentation type based on the content of your submission, scheduling needs, or the balance of presentation types.

 

  • Oral Presentations:
  1. Presentation language: Traditional Chinese or English.
  2. Presentation duration: 10-minute oral presentation followed by 5 minutes for Q&A.
  3. The presenter must be one of the authors.

 

  • Poster Presentations:
  1. Presentation language: Traditional Chinese or English.
  2. Presentation format: Those accepted will be notified about the poster format.
  3. The presenter must be one of the authors.

 

Submission Details

  • The submitted paper has not been presented at any other public conference.
  • For presentations in Chinese, the content can be written in either Chinese or English; for presentations in English, the content must be in English only.
  • Please be sure to select the type of presentation, and the abstract's theme must align with one of the specified theme types.

  16. Other (please specify the theme)
  • Abstract Submission Format:
  1. Abstract title (limited to 20 characters); for Chinese abstracts, both Chinese and English titles must be included.
  2. Names of all authors, listed in order of authorship.
  3. Presenter (one of the authors).
  4. Corresponding author (not necessarily the first author).
  5. Affiliation and contact information of the authors, including organization/institution, city and country, email, and telephone number.
  6. Abstract text to be written in Chinese or English, limited to 500 words.
  7. Abstracts should not include images, tables, or charts.

 

Submission Process

  • Please submit online through the official website at http://conference.ot.org.tw/#login
  • Confirm the language of presentation at the time of submission.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to the corresponding author's email within a week of submission. If you do not receive a notification within this period, please contact the secretariat at tota@ot.org.tw.

CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

This year, we are accepting proposals for workshops related to occupational therapy practice. Each workshop will last approximately 50 minutes, subject to change based on the number of submissions. The content should involve participant engagement and interaction.

  • Proposals should not exceed 1000 words and must include the following:
  1. Title
  2. Overview
  3. 2-3 Main Learning Objectives
  4. Teaching Methods
  5. Applications for clinical practice
  6. Brief Bio of the Speaker
  • Submit proposals online through the official website at http://conference.ot.org.tw/#login
  • Presenters can use Chinese or English; please select the language category when submitting.
  • The final decision on submissions will be made by the review committee.

Registration

For accepted posters, oral presentations, or workshops, at least one author per submission must register separately on the society official website to participate in the conference. If the submission is for an oral presentation, the presenter must also register on the day of the presentation and note the submission number (1110XXX) during registration.
